An opening speech by Anders Kühnau, chairman of region Mid Jutland, four talks from domain experts, more than 50 attendants, and discussions and networking over draft beer and pizza: The DORS company visit at Qampo/Trapeze in Aarhus on October 31 was a great success!
DORS says Thank you to Ali Khatam and Thomas Varan from Qampo and Trapeze for hosting and organizing an interesting and instructive event. A big thank you goes to our four speakers, Jørgen Haahr, Shyam Sundar, Kasper Sørensen and Christian Erikstrup. Their talks covered a broad spectrum of topics that arise when using Operations Research in practice: From selected AI and OR methods applied to public transportation problems, to the challenge of ensuring acceptance of OR tools among non-technical users, to the question of how to turn technical knowledge into business value.
